Job Description

Job Title: Training Developer - Warrant Officer Career College

The Training Developer will be responsible for curriculum development, revision, and maintenance. Technical curriculum may involve highly technical areas such as electronics repair or operation of weapons systems. Developer uses a computer and TRADOC software TDC (Training Development Capability) to: organize and draft a curriculum that breaks a complex subject into blocks or units of instruction; create or edit graphics; and integrates graphics into curriculum. Courses may be instructor-based, computer-based, simulator-based, interactive, or non-interactive. Develops short technical courses in accordance with approved curriculum to maintain proficiency and to evaluate and develop new instructional techniques/courses. May develop testing mechanisms (test questions, practical applications, or other proof of learning). May assist/train instructors in incorporation of new curriculum in the teaching process (e.g., develops clarification or examples of application related to the subject matter), development of classroom techniques, development of alternative teaching techniques, and development of scenarios. May act as the testing officer, conduct test analysis, and development or revision of test items.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Personnel should be familiar with TR 350-70, Army Learning Policy and Systems and its supporting pamphlets.
  • 5 + years experience with knowledge in developing lesson plans, Programs of Instruction (POIs), and education product development in the institutional domain.
  • Training Development Capability (TDC): The ability to effectively and efficiently use TDC to review, revise or create POIs and LPs

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional classroom and office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Physical Demands:

  • Stand, bend, and stoop for long periods of time while delivering training.
  • Be able to maneuver in and out of strategic and tactical equipment, and capable of lifting and moving electronic equipment in access of 40lbs in and out of classrooms and labs.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Workdays do not include working or conducting business on Federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed closings.

Travel: May require travel throughout the CONUS

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

  • May be asked to provide proof of US citizenship
  • Must be able to maintain a US Government issued NACI Clearance with Background check.
