Position: Electrical Assembler / Wireman

Position Summary:

TyBot is currently seeking an Electrical Assembler / Wireman with strong electrical assembly skills who are searching for exciting careers in the robotics industry. The candidate is responsible for all phases of building and testing autonomous rebar-tying robots throughout the manufacturing process and must communicate effectively and professionally with a wide range of personnel. Strong background in electrical assembly with a focus on panel wiring and PCB assembly is preferred; enthusiasm and positive attitude are required. We are willing to invest in the right candidate. Overtime is scheduled on an as-needed basis and may occasionally be mandatory as business dictates.

Job Skills / Qualifications:


  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow engineering drawings, diagrams, schematics, bills of material, and other documented instructions to accurately assemble/disassemble system components
  • 5+ years basic electrical assembly experience; cable harness assembly, crimping & terminating, panel wiring and installation, soldering & circuit board assembly, cable routing
  • 1+ years basic mechanical assembly experience; small and large assembly
  • Proficient knowledge of quality check procedures and testing to documented processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with peers, management, & engineering
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office) and basic MRP/ERP user-level experience


  • Team lead or greater level background
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes
  • Understanding of overhead crane hand signals
  • High voltage & arc flash training & background

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform all production tasks and quality checks required in constructing robot and all sub-assemblies
  • Perform all production tasks and quality checks required in refurbishing and reworking robot components
  • Cross train in all areas of production
  • Perform basic material inventory functions as needed

Educational Qualifications:

  • Minimum: High School Diploma
  • Preferred: Associates degree or trade school certificate

Physical Demands:

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent standing, walking and repetitive hand / arm movements when performing job tasks
  • Working on uneven surfaces
  • Occasionally stretching up and across when completing daily tasks
  • Squatting, crouching, kneeling, bending and twisting of body and neck may be required occasionally
  • Contact with skin irritants or water may occur during certain processes
  • The employee must be able to perform physical demands of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
