Job Description

Advance Services is seeking candidates for the following position:

Customer Service Representative /

Import  Customer Service Support / Import Trade Assistant 

Creve Coeur, MO

Contract role - about 12 months

  • $17 - $19 / Hour
  • All positions require: Background Check and Drug Screen

Import Trade Assistant to help the North America International team maintain proper documentation and meet stakeholder expectations. This position reports to the Customs Compliance Officer (CCO).

Key Responsibilities:

  • With minimal supervision, perform administrative functions in compliance with organizational policies, procedures, goals and objectives
  • Compliance team (gathering data, filing, running reports, uploading documents to the SharePoint)
  • Demonstrate the ability to adjust to variable tasks in order to meet efficiency standards and stakeholder expectations
  • Perform reconciliations for international shipments, including financial, duty drawback, and customs payments
  • Facilitate import file maintenance including scanning, uploading and filing as needed
  • Perform import file audits, ensuring files are complete with necessary trade documents
  • Manage off-site records retention, including sending and recalling boxes
  • Provide reporting and analytical support for other trade team initiatives as necessary
  • Run monthly reports for management.
  • Support import freight payments, including collect data from SAP and coding freight bills.
  • Seasonal import and export campaign support
  • Help prepare training documentation
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for NA Global Trade team
  • Act as administrator for maintaining all the team's SharePoint sites
  • Team mailbox administration
  • Manage team meeting notes
  • Performs other tasks as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent work experience (4+ years) in Business Administration, Logistics, Manufacturing, International Commerce in Import, Export, or Trade Compliance
  • Ability to read and write English with excellent verbal and written (via correspondence/email) communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (with emphasis in Excel and Word) and strong computer skills

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • SAP knowledge desired
  • Import / Export / Logistics experience
  • SharePoint experience desired
  • Experience with reports and metrics in Excel
  • Ability to multi task
  • Experience with agricultural and/or chemical products a plus
  • Knowledge of Domestic and International Shipping concepts (Incoterms, Trade Documents, Invoicing, Bill of Lading)
