Job Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions
- Oversee large, complex product development and commercialization initiatives, often comprised of multiple discrete programs and/or projects, ensuring they are aligned to strategic goals and meet scope, schedule, and cost objectives of the business.
- Manage the development and maintenance of business cases, program plans, integrated master schedules, resource plans, and budgets as required to scope, plan, and execute product programs.
- In collaboration with the PMO, the Global Program manager will also share responsibility for developing, improving, and implementation of standard program and project management methodologies and tools.
- Global program manager for all of the company committed to delivering drill automation installations, with expansion to other product lines as needed.
- Establish and maintain effective risk management discipline on all assigned programs and projects.
- Interact with the local and global teams and provide guidance, coaching, training, and development of project teams and employees
- In collaboration with the PMO, define and implement governance processes and structure that enables the appropriate planning, scheduling, executing, monitoring and controlling across the program; coordinate program activities across multiple functions and business units.
- Monitor program status and effectively communicate status to all stakeholders via project documentation, status reports, project planning tools, and presentations as needed.
- Provide program updates and portfolio reviews to senior and executive leadership in the planning and execution of assigned programs, including regular engagement with key business sponsors throughout the organization.
- Participates in identifying continuous improvement goals in Quality, Cost, Schedule, Personnel and Compliance for the organization and plays key leadership role in attaining those goals.
- Share Lessons Learned and standard methodologies across programs/projects, building relationships with partners, and cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.

PERFORMANCE GOALS
- Develop and implement strategy for specific programs and project teams.
- Lead creation of the project management plans
- Oversee all activities associated with the project to ensure the project achieves its goals
- Identify and understand project objectives
- Manage timelines and key deliverables and changes, and the impacts to the overall program.
- Identify, assign and mentor/coach project team members
- Identify projects needed to achieve key business objectives.
- Establish reporting cadence, reports, and metrics
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of seven years related engineering experience
- Three years’ experience or more in a similar Project/Program Management position
- Experience in the Mining and Metals industry a definite advantage
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification essential
- Demonstrated leadership attributes and the ability to develop, mentor and coach others towards achieving project timelines and goals
- Understands and listens to team members and fosters a productive team environment
- Excellent analytical, organizational, planning, problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
- Well developed interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to manage conflict in a stressful fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work independently with limited supervision
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Autonomous solutions experience preferred
- PMO experience in Software Development Life Cycle or equivalent
- Willingness to travel internationally
