Interior Design Assistant

ADEENI DESIGN GROUP, an award-winning high-end interior design firm specializes in bespoke residential and creative commercial projects. We are looking for a full-time interior design assistant with opportunity for growth. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 1 year of experience in an interior design office, is personable, intelligent, logical, articulate, highly organized and self-motivated, and is able to multi-task while maintaining accuracy and organization.

MINIMUM OF 1 YEAR INTERIOR DESIGN OFFICE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

DUTIES:

• Assist with all phases of design, purchasing and expediting

• Prepare and manage specifications, proposals, and purchase orders

• Draft floor plans, elevations, furniture etc.

• Data entry

• Assist with preparing client presentations

• Interface with clients, vendors and contractors

• Keep detailed meeting notes, task & tracking lists and calendars on multiple projects

• Errands & visits to job sites

• Office administration

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Passionate about design and have a desire for being mentored

• Mature, pleasant and professional in manner and appearance

• Maintains the highest level of integrity, trust and confidentiality

• Have strong work ethic, be goal oriented & efficient

• Highly organized self-starter

• Fast learner and problem solver with strong time management skills

• Demonstrate a history of attention to detail and excellent follow-through

• Flexible and resourceful

• Dependable & service oriented

• Excellent oral and written communication and skills

• Capable of multi-tasking and handling several projects simultaneously

• Have strong computer skills, MAC a plus

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, experience with Studio Designer an asset

• Retail or showroom experience a plus

COMPENSATION:

• Full time position

• Compensation is commensurate with experience and expertise

• Reimbursement for professional dues and approved classes

• Mileage and expense reimbursement
