Sr Tax Accountant Finance

Adecco is assisting Ross Corporate stores in recruiting for a Sr Tax accountant in Dublin, CA . This is a full-time long-term temp position at Ross's corporate headquarters.

The Senior Tax Analyst is a key contributor to the Tax Group which will be responsible for calculating quarterly and year-end provision for income taxes in accordance with ASC 740. Further, the Senior Tax Analyst will assist with SOX internal controls, budgeting and forecasting, and special projects at a Fortune 500 and NASDAQ 100 company.
Responsibilities for the Business License Specialist include but are not limited to:
  • Prepare and ensure completion of quarterly and annual tax provision requirements under ASC 740, including preparation of income tax provision work papers in support of the financial statements and related SEC reporting.
  • Assist in ensuring all internal controls procedures are documented and key financial controls are operating effectively.
  • Support FP&A by providing timely forecasts and budgets reflecting accurate projections, changes in tax laws, etc.
  • Prepare quarterly transfer pricing calculations and assist in preparing legal entity financials.
  • Support income tax compliance function such as calculating federal consolidated and state taxable income and analyzing tax impact of various business initiatives and tax legislative changes as needed.
  • Participate in special projects such as tax planning, restructuring, tax incentive and credit initiatives, and tax accounting method changes.
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • 4-6 years federal and state income tax compliance and/or provision experience
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external staff
  • Experience with OneSource Tax Provision and PeopleSoft is a plus
  • Experience with ASC 718 desired and familiarity with Equity Edge a plus
  • Hands-on, strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent analytical/organizational abilities on a multi-project basis
  • Self-starter and performance-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Superior judgment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Ability to carry out job responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner
  • CPA and/or MS in Tax preferred
