Quality Technician - 2nd or 3rd shift

The Quality Technician performs all tasks necessary to ensure continued product conformance to internal and external specifications and requirements. Continued conformance of product includes measurement, testing, analysis in a laboratory environment, as well as product auditing in the manufacturing environment at defined frequencies.
Quality Policies & Procedures:
- Respects and Observes the AdduXi Quality Management System Policies, Procedures & Instructions
- Awareness of the AdduXi Quality Policy, Quality Targets & Objectives, and Customer Focus
- Knowledgeable of product features, defects, and failure modes.
- Communicates and reacts to the AdduXi Communication-Escalation Policy.
- Respects the implementation of preservation of product by exercising care in safe handling of product and proper tagging/labeling of product.
- Respects the implementation and proper management of Suspect and Nonconforming Material Process Safety Policies & Procedures:
- Respects 5S Policy by keeping a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Main Technical Competencies:
- Dexterity in precision measuring equipment and gages
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze measurement readings, data, and reports
- Competent in making “Quality Decisions” from measurement and analysis of results related to boundary samples, product specifications, internal or customer requirements.
- Perform First Piece (First Shot) and Last Piece measurements and analysis; immediately reporting results to Production
- Accurately align workload in accordance with production and delivery priorities: first-piece analysis, continued conformance product measurements, containment activities, and inspection/sorting.
- Accurately completes applicable documentation and records pertaining to quality inspection. • Files records in reverse chronological order (newest in the front, oldest in the back).
- Segregates Suspect and/or Nonconforming product from acceptable product; participates in containment activities, including identification of a “clean point”. Identifies “Certified Material”, as necessary.
- Initiates Quality Intervention following the Quality Reaction Plan; authority to stop production as necessary
- Responsible for identifying smallest possible suspect population of product, using accurate traceability records, to identify “Clean Point” for additional sorting/inspection.
- Participate in shift hand-off meetings by communicating and collaborating with other team members.
- Accurately performs quality inspection/sorting of products & packaging per applicable Visual Inspection Work Instructions and product Packaging Specifications. (i.e. 100% Inspections, Safe Launch, Quality Alerts, Certification/Containment Actions, etc.) in-process on the manufacturing floor or in the QC Area.
- Accurately completes applicable documentation and records pertaining to quality inspection.
- Segregates Suspect and/or Nonconforming product from acceptable product; participates in containment activities, including identification of a “clean point”. Identifies “Certified Material”, as necessary.
- Ability to accurately count and perform basic math
- Provides feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement actions pertaining to safety, product and/or management system processes.
- Perform quality inspection training and evaluate competencies of Quality Inspectors & Production Operators
Supporting Technical Competencies:
- Operate production machines, as necessary
- Work overtime as required
- Available to work on any shift
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Able to lift 20lbs
