IT Infrastructure Services Leader
Location: Bel Air, Maryland -2-3 days remote
Salary: $125-155K + 14% Bonus

Infrastructure Leader will oversee the Technical Services department. This position leads the IT Infrastructure team in managing and maintaining technology which runs the business. Through the team, they ensure effective utilization of IT Infrastructure and applications to enhance system performance and limit downtime. Makes recommendations for purchases of hardware, software, and communications for current and future system needs. Directs testing and develops procedures for incident and problem management, disaster recovery, and network and system changes. Reviews project feasibility studies, confers with management to prioritize projects, and prepares progress reports regarding project development initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises personnel charged with providing system-level and end-user support including system configuration and maintenance. This includes providing support to agents utilizing various automation systems provided by the company.
  • Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company network, databases, servers and desktop systems.
  • Works with department head in preparing annual budget for Information Technology Department.

As manager of the Technical Services Team, your group will be responsible for:

  • Maintain all current networks, hardware, peripherals, operating systems, management software, etc. associated with the corporate information system including the network, server, back-end and desktop/standalone systems.
  • Maintain network and system backups and performs routine recovery testing on both small-scale and large-scale situations.
  • Maintain and implements the Information Technology components of the companys Business Continuity Plan and disaster recovery procedures for all identified applications and servers.
  • Work with the department head in the investigation, analysis, implementation, training, etc. of new system technologies which are consistent with the strategic Information Technology Department goals.
  • Administer and maintains the collaboration and communication systems and associated strategies.
  • Provides end-user support, including training as required, for company developed applications and systems, as well as those acquired through third parties.
  • Work with the department head in the investigation, implementation, and support for a company strategy for mobile devises and associated security.
  • Maintain documentation on system configuration and layout, support procedures, system maintenance procedures, service contracts, software, etc.
  • Establish, maintain, and support daily operations functions associated with scheduled automated and manual functions.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by the leadership team.


Educational/Training Requirement:

  • At minimum a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related technical degree


  • 8-10 years experience working and managing information systems networks and support staff at a corporate level, with telecommunications expertise desired.
  • Minimum 3 years experience working with implementation, design, connectivity aspects of hardware and networking.
  • Minimum 3 years experience collaborating with an application development team to work within a release management process


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of systems management in a Microsoft environment including hardware installation and maintenance, network operating system installation and maintenance, network connectivity and operations, systems management software installation and management.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-based technologies, including Microsoft 365 (Azure) and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Strong knowledge of system backup and recovery concepts and methods with insight to disaster recovery planning, testing and implementation.
  • Knowledge of virtual server implementation, configuration, and management in a Microsoft environment is desired.
  • Strong collaborating skills, and an ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines; high energy, self-motivated and proactive
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask, and be flexible with regard to workload and assignments
  • Ability to exercise judgment
