Formally known as Compass Behavioral Health, our Crisis team is currently recruiting for full-time Case Managers!

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides case management, safety plans, individual and group skills training and development, mentoring and crisis intervention as directed by a QMHP and documented in the Individual Service and Support Plan (ISSP); uses interventions informed by Evidence-based Practices.
  • Actively promotes the harmonious delivery of services through coordination of interventions in collaboration with treatment team members and foster providers achieved by ongoing communication and active problem solving with the treatment team and foster providers about outcomes, barriers and case observations.
  • Maintains and completes required records, reports, documentation as required by departmental policy and state and federal law.
  • As many of the services are provided with in the community and throughout Douglas County, driving is an essential and daily function of this position; transports individuals, family members and other supports to/from services
  • Participates in professional development through individual and group supervision, unit and agency staff meetings, workshops and Essential Learning tutorials; develops, modifies, and or obtains training programs and materials in consultation with supervisor and program manager; promotes peer professional development by sharing training materials and or training others in successful interventions.
  • Unique duties maybe assigned to staff members by their Program Manager or Supervisor, to meet agency needs; current incumbent in this position supports 370 program clients and works with law enforcement, the State Hospital and case managers to coordinate their re-entry into communities.
  • Emergency Response:This employee has been identified as a staff member expected to report for duty following activation of a public health emergency response plan.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree and preferred two years’ experience in a social service and/or mental health setting or a satisfactory equivalent combination of education, experience and training. At time of appointment, must possess valid Oregon driver's license.
  • Knowledge of basic psychological theory, principles and practices of mental health treatment including assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mentally ill persons; human behavior as it relates to crisis situations and problems of client population; substance abuse treatment as it pertains to the mentally ill, considerable knowledge of behavior intervention, management and support strategies; sound case management; knowledge of community resources including the functions and procedures of other social service agencies and service providers; education and ability to develop skills groups and workshops including planning, implementation, and evaluation of outcomes; reasonable knowledge of educational theories and techniques; reasonable knowledge of psychoactive medication and treatment applications.
