We are seeking a woodshop woodworker to work in a manufacturing facility in the College Park, GA area to set up, operate, and tend all types of woodworking machines, such as saws, milling machines, drill presses, lathes, shapers, routers, sanders, planers, and wood-fastening machines to cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurements. This is a Monday - Friday, 1st shift position but overtime may be required. A big plus if you have completed a recognized apprenticeship or a minimum of four years' experience as a journey-level carpenter.
Bilingual, Spanish speaking is also a plus!

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Responsibilities will include designing, cutting, and measuring materials according to meet the design needs of the client's order requirements. In addition, may be responsible for layout, installation, repairing, finishing, and maintaining various structures and fixtures within the company buildings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches and to fully grasp requirements.
Set up, operate, and tend all types of woodworking machines, such as saws, milling machines, drill presses, lathes, shapers, routers, sanders, planers, and wood-fastening machines, and other equipment to cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurements
Accuracy taking measurements and calculating the size and amount of material needed for a project.
Assisting supervisors with structural design, planning, layout, assembly and build.
Conduct assigned work as required.
Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials.
Compliance with local building codes, and health and safety regulations.
Provide excellent customer service.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull and lift heavy objects
Inspect products and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed.

High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or a minimum of four years' experience as a journey-level carpenter
Additional certification may be required.
Demonstrated knowledge of mathematics and metric conversions
Physically fit and good hand-eye coordination.
Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner.
Able to communicate in English and/or Spanish at a technical and general interdepartmental business level, in both verbal and written correspondence.
Able to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division accurately.
