Position Description

Corteva Agriscience is seeking a talented and enthusiastic biologist to join the Crop Protection Discovery Mode of Action Center of Expertise, based at our Indianapolis, IN Research and Development facility. The biologist will contribute to our goal of providing novel, sustainable solutions to benefit farmers and consumers. The successful candidate must also be able to work in a team environment, across scientific disciplines, and be capable of clearly communicating to stakeholders. This position offers a competitive salary and the tasks.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ability to follow instructions/methods, the ability to follow a workflow chart to its conclusion

• Strong organization and communication skills, and the ability to successfully work in a dynamic group environment

• Document work in an electronic laboratory notebook.

• Manage daily, weekly and monthly laboratory activities, such as monitoring of equipment, periodic laboratory cleaning and managing central supply stocks/reagents, laboratory waste and general lab maintenance

• An understanding of the Corteva Agriscience safety culture including personal protective equipment and waste streams will be an expectation of this role

Required Qualifications:

• B.S. in science related field

• Interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to analyze and interpret data using various software tools

Nice to have

• Experience in a lab setting

• Experience with data entry and data management

Research project & lab experience preferred.
