o Support the Manufacturing Engineering Group through researching existing processes, collecting production data, analyzing the data, and developing detailed reports outlining improvement opportunities for Manufacturing Engineering to evaluate and implement.
o Provide the Engineering team with guidance on developing projects that align with the needs of the organization.
o Evaluate key equipment and plant metrics to help identify areas if improvement that drive operational efficiencies and improved production performance.
o Assist with the tracking of variable data for equipment performance, downtime, and production efficiencies as needed.
o Assist in validating the performance improvements once Engineering completes implementation of improvement actions.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Receive information from various business sources, compile the information, analyze it, and report findings.
o Communicate data and findings with various team members at all organizational levels.
o Assist in identifying operational improvement opportunities through data driven processes.
o Monitor downtime progress by tracking activity, collecting problem resolution data, publishing progress reports, and sharing recommend actions and best practices.
o Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
o Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
o Review production data prior to and post improvement actions to validate them.
o Create and manage effective, scalable, and easy to understand dashboards to assist Engineering improvement efforts
o Assist in the creation of communication materials and presentations to support analysis, the development of improvement programs, and to identify process improvements.
This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:
o Microsoft Suite of Software (Excel charting and pivot table experience a must)
o Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational
o Detail oriented, analytical, and inquisitive
o Motivated self starter
o Ability to work independently and with others
o Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
o Able to provide outside the box thinking and provide creative ideas
o Thrives in a high-pressure environment
o Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Preferred
o 2-yr Associates Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plastics acceptable with experience.
o 2-3 years of professional experience
o Excellent time management and prioritization skills
o Other related duties according to business needs
o Gather systems information
o Strong knowledge of manufacturing workflow
