Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


The BCBA works with the Managing Partner, Sr. Director of ABA Programs and a team of RBT’s and Program Lead to provide a range of applied behavior analytic (ABA) assessment and clinical services for children autism spectrum disorders and related developmental disabilities. The BCBA consults, provides training to caregivers, conducts behavioral evaluations of clients and designs behavior and individual support plans for clients. The BCBA is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, communicating and continually evaluating the effectiveness of functional assessments, behavioral evaluations, behavior plans and individual education plans for clients on their caseload. As a BCBA you are the person who educates, observes, assesses, and supervises the activities and service delivery of RBT’s and Program Lead. The BCBA is required to adhere to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board Guidelines for Responsible Conduct for Behavior Analysts. The BCBA maintains a weekly billable caseload of service hours as directed by the supervisor.


Responsibilities:

 

  • Administers, conducts, evaluates and supervises the implementation of behavioral assessment measures (e.g., VB-MAPP, Vineland) and functional assessment measures
  • Develops individualized goals and objectives for home-, community-, and center-based programs and designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data
  • Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives
  • Teaches Program Leads and RBT’s on the proper implementation of educational and clinical behavior programs and plans, data collection systems and all necessary monitoring and reporting systems
  • Conducts regular caregiver training and consultation
  • s responsible for ongoing individual program oversight and conducting weekly supervision meetings with Program Lead and RBT’s
  • Meets regularly with Sr. Director of ABA Programs and notifies her immediately of issues impacting client’s progress and satisfaction
  • Completes all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner as requested by the Sr. Director of ABA Programs
  • Develops written reports documenting behavioral recommendations for parents, caregivers and insurance companies in a timely and accurate manner
  • Coordinate monthly staff meetings
  • Lead quarterly parent trainings
  • Provide supervision to BCBA and/or BCaBA candidates that are employed by the Company
  • Communicate through means of voicemail and/or email when unable to meet face to face
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
  • Complete treatment plans in a timely fashion

Additional Functions

  • •Actively communicates the Company efforts to community
  • Responds to referrals for service in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Participates in professional meetings or conferences deemed to be beneficial to the BCBA and the Company's development
  • Protect clients rights and privacy according to HIPAA regulations
  • Maintain accurate records and immediate submission of Incident Reporting, as soon as possible, within 24 hours
  • Maintain accurate records including but not limited to assessments, current daily notes, and services provided for statistical and billing purposes
  • Enforce the Code of Ethics governed by BACB and the Company policies and procedures
  • Participate with the interdisciplinary team, when appropriate, for the development of the plan of care
  • Assist with problem solving to improve efficiency within the program
  • Portray a positive attitude and maintain client and coworker satisfaction level that limits adverse situations or complaints
  • Adheres to the mission, vision and values of the Company

Education and Experience Required:

  • Master’s in behavior analysis, BCBA Supervisory, Psychology, special education, social work, speech language pathology, or related field required
  • BCBA certification and/or licensed professional
  • At least three years’ experience serving individuals with ASD with a full range of skills and abilities
  • At least three years’ experience working as an outreach consultant/in-home therapist in the autism or developmental disability field
  • Strong knowledge and deep understanding of behavior analytic therapies; experience delivering these services
  • Experience with staff training and supervision
  • Must be proficient with DTT, Natural Environment Training, ABA Program/Goal Development, ABA Behavior Reduction and Skills Acquisition Procedures, and Staff Training
  • Must have excellent writing and communication skills, be highly organized with the ability to multi- task
