POSITION DESCRIPTION: Achieve Center Pediatric Therapy is currently seeking an experienced pediatric Occupational Therapist to work in its Spokane office. We are ideally looking for a therapist with experience or interest in pediatrics with a desire for family centered practice. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Major responsibilities and activities include: works as part of a multi disciplinary team to provide direct patient care which includes feeding, sensory processing, psycho-social development, motor coordination, cognitive functioning and other therapeutic modalities in the clinic; perform evaluations with supporting treatment plans; carry out and maintain plan of care and ensuring high quality of patient care; complete accurate electronic documentation; collaborates with staff as appropriate, performs other duties as requested; and complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED: Current WA State license as an Occupational Therapist and graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Basic computer skills and excellent communication skills required. Ability to assist in the development of programs, procedures, policies, and protocols. A dedication to patient satisfaction and an ability to work effectively with patients, physicians and other staff members. Ability to supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants in the provision of treatment and patient care.
QUALIFICATIONS - PREFERRED: Two years experience as an Occupational Therapist in a pediatric setting preferred. Understanding of child development and background in developmental disabilities.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: The employee is regularly required to sit, stand and type at a computer terminal. Requires strong verbal, written and listening communication skills to interact effectively with people in person and over the telephone. Ability to lift and carry materials (up to 30 pounds) on a regular basis. Ability to navigate client sites (unpaved walkways, stairs, narrow hallways) and a regular basis. Visual acuity to read small print. Must be able to tolerate exposure to disinfectant (used to clean toys).
