Job Description

Accurate Diagnostic Labs is a dynamic, fast-paced and growing full service clinical diagnostic testing facility offering blood testing for various branches of medicine. We specialize in physician office based services and have conveniently located patient service centers throughout NJ-NY metro areas. Established in 1999, Accurate Diagnostic Labs prides itself in providing the highest level of customer service and quality assurance. Currently, Accurate Diagnostic Labs is looking for Medical Laboratory Technologists.

Timings: 12:00 am - 8:00 am

Medical Laboratory Technologist

  • Laboratory Technologist (MT) is responsible performing all aspect of clinical test performance laboratory including, equipment, safety, laboratory policies, quality assurance, all testing (including proficiency testing). This includes assessing the Quality Control recovered values are acceptable, determining that the patient batch Run is acceptable, and reporting tests results in an accurate and timely manner
  • The MLT may perform the duties Laboratory Assistants and assist the MT in all aspects of Reagents preparation, Maintenance, Inventory Control, Regents loading and Calibration. The MT must ensure that they are accessible to provide onsite, telephone, or electronic consultation.
  • The MLT Generalist must be proficient in all Core Specialization areas. This includes, but is not limited to Chemistry, Special Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Hematology, Peripheral Slide Morphology, Diagnostic Immunology and Endocrinology,

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Processes all testing of urine, blood, and other bodily fluids in order to obtain patients’ results for our referring physicians.
  • Stores specimens while in queue for testing in accordance to Department of Health guidelines (refrigerated, if needed)
  • Verification of equipment function by running routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Properly alerts Supervisor or client services in case of abnormal findings that exceed critical criteria values.
  • Contributes to a safe and secure environment for visitors and staff by following established standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations, and following Department of Health guidelines
  • Maintains patient confidentiality by keeping information confidential
  • Required to Notifies Management of any problems with machinery or lab functions with sufficient notice to ensure proper availability of testing machines at all times
  • Notifies Laboratory Supplier of needs in a timely fashion to ensure sufficient stock of supplies at all times.

Job Requirements:

  • BS degree or equivalent is required
  • Medical Technologist Degree or equivalent, state/city licenses or permits to qualify as a technologist is desirable
  • 4 -years’ experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume environment with deadlines
  • High organization and dependability
  • Ability to efficiently and pleasantly communicate with clients and co-workers
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work 40 hours plus during various shifts as required by business needs and to fulfill job responsibilities.
