Job Description

The Network Engineer provides oversite of all network layouts and designs for new project development, existing projects, manufacturing and field installation.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

· Sets up and configures Cisco, HP, Juniper, Phoenix Contact and other networks as needed, project dependent.

· Works with the sales team to develop project network schematic layout and estimates.

· Works closely with CAD / Design group to develop and confirm network layouts and all parts needed for a complete network design.

· Assists Field Installation Technicians and Service Department with install of new and existing facilities.

· Layer 3 Routing using RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, and or OSPF is a necessity.

· Ability to troubleshoot network performance and issues using network packet captures, SNMP, and other tools as needed.

Additional Responsibilities:

· Ideal candidate would have the ability to setup and maintain VPN (IPsec) tunnels.

· Assist the team with Video Management System setups.

· Provide additional engineering support as directed by the Engineering Team Director.

· Provide in-house and on-site customer service for non-essential or non-critical service requirements matching the individual's ability and as requested by the Engineering Team Supervisor

· Aid with other/undefined ACI tasks as requested by the Engineering Team Director

· Travel to project sites as needed to assist in network setup and verification

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

· Bachelor or Associate Degree in Network Engineering or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

· Certification preferred in Cisco (CCNP, CCNA, or CCENT) or HP Aruba Networks.

· Knowledge of Cisco, HP Aruba, and Juniper network switches.

· A comprehensive understanding of LAN, WAN, Multicast, and routing protocols (RIP, EIGRP, etc.)

· Knowledge of and proficient in Windows and Linux Operating Systems

· Ability to work closely with all ACI business units

· Detail oriented and focused on quality control

· Dependable and flexible in the face of fast paced customer deadlines and changing priorities

· Team oriented and supportive of ACI policies and procedures
