Job Description
We have partnered with a Lewisville TX based company to find a Lease Admin for a contract to hire opportunity paying in the mid to upper $20hr range.This person will be responsible for acting as a point of contact for facilitating administrative solutions between departments such as real estate/accounting/legal and landlords/tenants/vendors; maintaining the real estate administration database, including property abstracting, reconciling operating expenses, authorizing payments and reporting.

 

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Reviews and abstracts leases - processes and maintains all pertinent data in the lease administration real estate and transaction tracking databases
  • Ensures monthly rents are paid and all leasing activities are in accordance with policies and guidelines
  • Conducts “internal control audits” to reconcile and process all landlord and vendor recurring and one-time payments, rent roll changes, end-of-year, Consumer Price Index or percentage rent adjustments
  • Prepares and distributes critical date reports; maintains tickler system for tracking important dates and tasks
  • Reconciles and processes all tenant invoices for rent, operating expenses and year-end or Consumer Price Index adjustments
  • Administers subleases by reviewing the subleases for pertinent information, invoicing the subtenants, collecting sublease income, forwarding sublease income to accounts receivable, and sending out delinquent rent notices on unpaid balances
  • Ensures data integrity and accuracy by performing quality control review of work
  • Oversees and/or facilitates estoppels, subordination, non-disturbance and attornment agreements, assignments, insurance certificates, as well as other miscellaneous real estate administration requirements
  • Generates standard and develops ad hoc reports utilizing the real estate administration database report writing software
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • The Ideal Candidate:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Lease Administration, Real Estate Accounting or Property Management
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to process work quickly, accurately and with changing priorities
  • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers and effectively present information
  • Ability to interpret complex commercial lease language
  • High proficiency in MS Office products
  • Preference give for experience with a Lease Administration software applications such as CoStar (Virtual Premise)
