Customer Service Advocate (Accounting)

We are currently hiring for a Customer Support Advocate to join the Financial Services department of one of our top clients in Nashville! This role is focused on assisting customers (Business to Business) with getting caught up on outstanding invoice payments. Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager, this position does have an extensive training program and the opportunity to grow within this organization. ?

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in making payments and/or process payments via phone
  • Contact customers for payment status via phone/email and notate system accordingly
  • Draft legal documents and payment plans for clients
  • Attend weekly meetings and contribute with team discussions/workplace changes
  • Create invoices and retrieve paperwork from clients
  • Coordinate with the AR department with escalated/unresponsive customers
  • Conduct payment research, locate payments in the bank and apply to open invoices
  • Correct mis-applied payments and send adjustments to Cash Applications

Qualifications

At least one year of experience working within an accounts receivable role OR customer service

High School Diploma

Candidates with call center experience are highly encouraged to apply since this position requires heavy email and phone correspondence

Prior experience working within Oracle is a plus but NOT required

Employment Type: Contract to Hire, 40 hours/week (8-5 or 7-4pm)

Pay $16.50-19/hr

Education: High School Diploma required, Associates preferred
