Controller

Accounting Principals is recruiting for a motivated Controller for a medium manufacturer located on the south west side of Indianapolis, IN. This role will have complete financial oversight at the plant location. This Controller will oversee the accounting department of 3 individuals and ensure accuracy and efficiency in the accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accounting and finance for a small accounting department
• Maintain documentation for all transactions, balances, and journal entries
• Ensure compliance with GAAP
• Complete month end and quarter end close
• Complete annual budget and forecasts
• Analyze financial results and identify trends and provide pertinent solutions as needed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of previous accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting for finance
• Previous experience working in the automotive industry
• Experience working with JD Edwards and Microsoft Excel
