Customer Service Representative (3-4 month temp)

We have a Customer Service/Admin opening available for a government agency. This is a 3-4 month temporary assignment covering for someone on maternity leave.

Calling people in the human resources and payroll divisions of large and small companies to solicit information about wages for each occupation of worker employer there for a federal survey about employment and wages.

o This may include identifying the right person within the company to contact.
o This may include explaining the nature of the survey and why providing the data is important.
o This may include explaining privacy procedures in place to protect the company’s data.
o This will include entering detailed wage data correctly and completely.

Emailing human resources and payroll divisions of large and small companies to solicit information.

o This will include direct emails to an individual.
o This will include bulk email exercises in which the worker will execute a program to send individual emails to hundreds of individuals at hundreds of companies.

The person should understand that many people will be difficult to reach and some will be rude. As a representative of both the state and federal governments, the person cannot be rude in return. This role requires a high degree of professionalism and poise.
