Staff Accountant

Senior Staff Accountant - Coral Springs

Growing PE owned company is adding a Senior Staff Accountant to the team. This role provides the opportunity to understand and grow the business while partnering with/learning from our parent company’s team. This role provides significant opportunity for advancement, as the PE parent owns multiple companies and is continuing to grow.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and posting of monthly journal entries, including allocations, prepaids, accruals and adjustments according to monthly close schedule
• Prepare all post close internal reporting for Corporate, including Balance Sheet and P&L flux analysis, SG&A reporting, close reporting and profit center detail
• Monthly reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts and bank accounts
• Perform month-end closing process, analysis, and reporting of accounting information for internal management reporting, external reporting and audit purposes
• Preparation of external audit schedules for annual and interim external audits
• Ability to meet assigned deadlines and handle multiple task environment
• Assist with the research and resolution of accounting issues, inclusive of and not limited to partnering with team staff of issue resolution
• Prepare and run payroll runs
• Requires initiative and the ability to analyze complex accounting documents to improve processes and reporting where results have monetary impact

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2 to 5 years’ experience
• Must be able to work independently or as part of a team while enhancing personal and departmental performance
• Requires excellent oral and written communication, skills to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and Corporate.
• QuickBooks Online experience preferred
