Accord is searching for a customer service driven, inclusive, collaborative person with technical skills to reduce the technical barriers that people with disabilities face accessing remote or virtual services, including telehealth. The Technology Support Specialist identifies, screen and enrolls people in the TAG (technology assistance grant) program.

Includes the purchasing and approval of services for people with the goal of reducing the barriers that people face in accessing remote and telehealth services. Includes general help desk support and supporting people with Electronic Visit Verification requirements. This position requires general knowledge of computer equipment and software programs.

This position will initially report to the CFO. This is a grant funded position for the period 9/1/2022 to 3/31/2024 Essential Responsibilities: Identify, screen and enroll people served in other Accord programs into the TAG (Technology Assistance Grant). Complete enrollment paperwork and turn in to supervisor for approval. Purchase and support the installation of technology equipment Assist Family and Community Services staff in resolving technology issues related to Electronic Visit Verification. This position will be working directly with people served by Accord to resolve EVV issues. Provide technical support and assistance to Accord people served, whether on the phone, on a virtual call or in person. Log services provided in Accord’s electronic health record system. Turns in weekly log of work performed to supervisor. Promote TAG program to Accord program leaders Must be willing to travel locally for work. Perform other duties as required or assigned. Requirements All new hires will be required to provide proof of Covid 19 full vaccination or have an approved request for exemption before their start date. High School Diploma or higher education and One of the following: Two (2) years college/vocational/technical degree or higher in a technology field or approved information technology certificate. Completion of five college/vocational/technical information technology courses. Two (2) or more years of information technology experience Ability to lift up to 30 pounds (assisted). Skills & Experience: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and experience building collaborative relationships with programs and people served.

Ability to multi-task and pivot based on workload. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Knowledge of MS Office Suite (e.g. MS Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word) and other virtual conferencing programs. Preferred Experience: Analyzing and diagnosing hardware, software, application, and network problems in a desktop environment. Working with Windows desktop operating systems. Providing customer service. Work Environment: The Technology Support Specialist in this position typically works the majority of the time in the office and from home- Hybrid position. Generally from Monday – Friday, daytime hours, with some flexibility based on program needs.
