As a Mental Health Worker at Accord, you will be an essential employee to the well-being of our adult foster care patients. You will be directly working with them so that they can meet daily goals like taking medications, assist with meal preparation an cleaning to ensure as safe environment. You have the ability to create a fun environment where you can suggest an activity that helps bring a positive attitude and engagement among the residents. It is a great entry into social work for recent college grads as well as those looking to add additional value to the community.

Job Type: Part Time or Full Time

Shifts Available: Candidate can select one or more shifts if desired.

  • Mon-Fri 4pm-8pm OR 5pm- 9pm


  • Every Sat & Sun 11am-7pm


  • Mon-Tues 8am-4pm

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a recovery oriented, clean and safe living environment for the tenants at CIPs adult foster care sites.
  • Monitor medications that the residents are prescribed
  • Provide daily charting in staff logbook. Complete progress notes for each resident at the end of every shift.
  • Assist with Treatment Planning and Implementation.
  • Crisis Intervention as needed.
  • Instill hope in residents and discuss recovery from mental illness as a goal that anyone and everyone can attain.
  • Conduct community outings. This includes planning, driving, organizing and motivating residents to attend outings.
  • Assist with meal preparation, supervise/ assist with clean up and ensure that adult foster care residents have a variety of healthy foods to choose from.



  • Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record
  • Must maintain ongoing in-service requirements
  • High school diploma required, prefer college level course work/degree
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • One year (or more) experience working with adults with mental illness preferred
  • Must pass a Department of Human Services background study.

Work Environment:

The Mental Health Worker in this position typically works the majority of the time in the adult foster care home located in Minnetonka, MN. Candidates can select one or more of the following shifts with some schedule flexibility based on program needs:

  • Mon-Fri 4pm-8pm OR 5pm- 9pm
  • Every Sat & Sun 11am-7pm
  • Mon-Tues 8am-4pm
