Basic Description:

The Director of eCommerce serves as a strategic business partner within the Executive Team, supporting the day-to-day operation of the Company and overseeing all aspects of the eCommerce Department. The ideal candidate is a leader who is also a data-driven, self-motivated, goal-oriented evangelist capable of guiding a diverse team towards measurable and impactful goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the work and performance of the eCommerce Department including project and task assignment.
  • Responsible for interviewing, bringing their preferred candidates to the Executive Team, and providing team members with the necessary training and guidance.
  • Monitor the success and measure the results of the team's efforts including: tracking sales and revenue, monitoring SKU sales performance, and ensuring online products and campaigns are highly searchable and converting.
  • Maintain written training materials and adapt new strategies into documentation to assist in current and future training.
  • Create and deploy sales & marketing plans, informed by data, to support overall revenue-driving strategies that grow business.
  • Ensure the regular maintenance of the Company's online and print marketing/advertising including: marketplace product listings, ad copy, photos, videos, SEO, paid keyword advertising, email marketing, and social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).
  • Assist team members to work cross-departmentally among the Company's creative teams including with: the Art Department, Product Development, Logistics, and Customer Solutions teams.
  • Drive weekly cross-functional team meetings to provide project updates alongside key sales & marketing metrics.
  • Model Company values in all actions, communications, and decision making.
  • Provide regular one-on-one coaching and training of our proven methods and strategies for each team member.
  • Regularly communicate with the Executive Team to discuss strengths, opportunities, and emerging trends in business.


Basic Requirements:

  • Education: BA in business, marketing, communications or related fields of study.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with online consumer sales, eCommerce, or Marketplace sales (ie. Amazon, eBay, NewEgg, BestBuy, etc.).
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience managing a team.
  • Willing to develop new ideas, motivate team members, and see projects to their conclusion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others both internally and externally.
  • Strong bias for action with ability to prioritize, multi-task, tenaciously follow-up, and meet competing deadlines.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work with all different players and functions; inspiring innovative and new ideas with peers, and holding others accountable.
  • Extreme attention to detail and willingness to roll up your sleeves and often do some of the dirty work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Consumer Product Manufacturing and/or Distribution.
  • Experience with Asana project management or similar digital organizational and collaboration tools.


During these difficult times, as we ease our way back into the office by exceeding State and Local Government Safety Requirements, this position will report full-time to our HQ in Westlake Village, CA.
