About your Role:Our Foster Care Directorwill
  • Provide supportive and growth minded leadership and supervision to staff. Provide clinical supervision to assigned therapists and other direct service workers to ensure high quality trauma-informed, family-engaged, strengths-based standards are met.
  • Oversee operational efficiency and effectiveness of services and management of the day-to-day operations using a trauma-informed, strengths-based, family engaged approach
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable rules and standards of the organization as well as external regulating agencies to ensure excellence in program compliance, performance and outcomes
  • Develop and implement continuous quality improvement plans and processes to ensure compliance with foster care standards, state laws and/ or other applicable certification or accreditation standards. This may include quality assurance reviews, data collection, and analysis of reports.
  • Develop and manage the program budget
  • Support the philosophy and mission of the organization. Attend and actively participate in Leadership Team meetings, as well as clinical, interdisciplinary and administrative team meetings, in-services, advisory committees and other meetings to further the mission of the foster care team and AFS as a whole.
  • Market and promote AFS within the professional community and assigned service area to develop and nurture potential referral sources.

    Does the Following Apply to You?
  • Master's Degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of job-related experience in (North Carolina, preferably) foster care or related community-based case work, working with youth and families.
  • Travel is required between community, and program locations up to 25%
