Accent Controls, Inc. (ACI) is pleased to open the application process for a part-time General Clerk III at the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) in Fort McCoy Wisconsin. The General Clerk must demonstrate proficiency in office procedures and perform administrative, clerical, and keyboarding duties. The clerk will follow prescribed procedures to complete repetitive clerical tasks. The clerk must also be able to recognize exceptional situations, respond with sound business solutions and follow clearly detailed procedures. This position requires initiative and the ability to work independently while performing daily office tasks such as filing, recording, maintaining records, copying, and other similar duties using a computer terminal, and other word processors. Refers matters exceeding authority to supervisor for proper disposition. Will interact with military and civilian personnel of all ranks/grades in discharging assigned responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews official orders to determine transportation entitlements and applies Department of Defense (DoD) directives and guidance from the military components. Counsels member on unique relocation requirements, including host nation and theatre command requirements at overseas destinations. Once entitlements established, advised the DoD member or civilian employee and creates documentation authorizing services and property movement. Researches carrier tariffs and published contract rates to determine the most cost-effective mode of commercial transportation for personal property. Will calculate and document excess transportation costs. Performs general clerical and administrative tasks; composes correspondence, updates andmaintains records. Prepares suspense control documents, reports, and maintains suspense files. Sets up and maintains logs, rosters, status charts, and graphs, requisitions requirements for office supplies. Answer multi line phones in a professional and courteous manner. Duties require that Transportation Service Provider requests are verified for eligibility and compliance within current regulatory parameters and SDDC established procedural policy. Requests are reviewed for accuracy and compliance with procedures. Provide quality control assistance within contractual requirements. Perform basic review ofdocuments for accuracy and conformity to established standards. Requires the ability to organize and/or coordinate work efficiently and set priorities. Comply with regulations as applicable to the contract, site, and work center. Database software and Defense Personal Property System (DPS) experience preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
High School Diploma or GED. Must have two (2) years' experience in clerical duties and administrative support functions. Experience with interpreting instructions, technical manuals and/or directives necessary for the accomplishment of job assignment. Must meet citizenship requirements to work in the United States. Obtain an interim clearance prior to starting. Must have a valid driver's license with NO major infractions.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have working knowledge of computers, typewriters, and other office equipment. Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence. Ability to keyboard 45 wpm, operate a 10-key calculator; word processing and spreadsheet experience required. Must communicate effectively with customers, fellow employees and government personnel. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. Must have working knowledge of calculators, preparing/filing of written documents. Work harmoniously with other employees promoting teamwork and cooperation. Ability to work in fast paced and compliance driven environment. Ability to take initiative to ask questions and/or voice concerns in order to clarify task goals prior to completing work tasks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to follow directions.
Experience with Defense Personal Property System (DPS).
