Acceleration Point is looking for incredible leaders who are exceptionally detail oriented, great communicators and super comfortable leading virtual meetings with 5-20 people.
There is a lot more to the job, but you must be awesome, comfortable and experienced at these three core qualities if you want to apply.
We are building a team of 5-6 people that are going to support one of our client’s processes. The purpose of this role is to help guide the internal review of critically important documents. You will work with senior leaders in the client’s organization from the medical, legal and regulatory departments.
It is okay if you don’t have experience doing this, but you must be extremely detail oriented, great at communicating and astounding in meetings…sound familiar?
What else does this job entail? You will also complete documentation, help with planning, lead awe-inspiring weekly meetings, perform quality reviews on documents, communicate with leadership and much more.
Chances are you have never been in an identical role, but you should have several examples of these qualifications with your customer service experience.
What aren’t we looking for? If you have never worked at a large organization before, this probably isn’t the best role for you. If you are just coming out of college, we wish you the best of luck and hope you will look us up in a few years. If you aren’t very friendly and not a team player, this is definitely not a great job for you. We hope you find a nice friend in the future .
So, who is Acceleration Point? We are a local consulting company with around 20 employees headquartered in downtown Roanoke, VA. We are focused on the Pharmaceutical industry and pride ourselves in providing exceptional service to all of our clients.
We like to think of ourselves as having a great culture, with great people. We take care of our employees and try to treat everyone like family. We are quite entrepreneurial, so if you like the structure of a big boring company…that’s not us.
Alright…now for some of the details.
There are many core skills you need to demonstrate for us to consider adding you to the family
Quality & Attention to Detail – This job requires a great attention to detail. It is important that we don’t miss any steps and that our documentation is completely accurate.
Communication & Presentation – You need to be great at verbal communication and writing. You should be able to share your thoughts simply and clearly. When there is a virtual meeting, you need to be the leader and guide people through the meeting to complete the document reviews timely. Most of this will be virtual, so it is going to be extra tough!
Process Management – Pretty sure we said this above…but you must lead and facilitate meetings, provide guidance along the way, make decisions and do it without mistakes. There are some strict rules and laws that we must follow as part of this process. We will teach you about all of this, but it will be critical to follow company guidelines, applicable laws and regulations. While the current processes will be trained, we are always looking for new and efficient ways to work. We encourage the team to put their thinking caps on and get creative!
Customer Service – Did we mention you should be the best ever customer service person? Really…we mean it. You must be able to tell us numerous stories about how you drove great customer outcomes in the face of insurmountable challenges. We want to know how you exceeded customer expectations, developed relationships stronger than steel, and resolved issues before anyone ever knew there was a problem.
Discover & Learn – There is a 99% chance you have never done this job before. Guess what? You better be a quick learner. We will bring you through some great training and make sure you are 100% ready to do the job. However, we aren’t going to have time for slow learners or that don’t like picking up new skills. Our client’s needs are always changing, and we need to remain on the cutting edge.
Time Management – If you like to spin numerous plates on long sticks, you will really like this work. You are going to need to plan and divide your time between multiple activities while still being organized. Sometimes your schedule will change at the last second and you will have multiple deadlines. We want people on the team that find this challenge exciting rather than stressful.
OTHER IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS
We would prefer people that have worked at a large company before. Although not a requirement, it would be helpful in the job.
You should have at least five years of corporate work experience. Although a short-order chef at Bob’s Diner is impressive, it does not count as part of the five years.
A bachelor’s degree in highly desired. We will still consider you if you don’t have a bachelors, but you need to have incredible work experience.
This job works in an office 8-5 Monday through Friday. However, on occasions the client has a big event or product launch and you might have to work outside of these hours. It doesn’t happen often, but it will happen.
Our office is downtown Roanoke and is really nice! However, this COVID stuff might require you work from home for a while until everyone can go back to work and school safely. You will need to demonstrate to us that you can have a professional, quiet work environment at your home.
