Mortgage Service Officer - Entry-Level - Mandarin

Acceler8Networks is working with a well-established bank in the San Gabriel Valley and is looking to bring on a mandarin-speaking, entry level Mortgage Service Officer to assist the Sales Organization in mortgage product placement and pricing. This unique and integral role is key to the success of the company and provides daily challenges and an exciting opportunity for the right candidates. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate in the Business sector looking to gain valuable experience within a financial institution! This position offers great upward mobility within the bank!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handles both inbound calls and outbound calls
  • Review a high volume of submission packages daily from the loan consultants
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding bank products and services, transaction requests and account maintenance related to their loan account
  • Evaluate income, credit and other preliminary application information to make credit decisions
  • Utilize active listening, express willingness to help, identify customer needs and deliver courteous, professional service in a manner
  • Assist in completing customer banking transactions and promote self-service online banking products
  • Maintain an all-encompassing knowledge of all bank’s products and services in order to support customer in any loan inquiries
  • Troubleshoot various problems and properly escalate to management as needed
  • Place customers in the loan programs that fit their needs based on company parameters
  • Work collaboratively with the other areas of the business to fund high quality loans

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Recent mortgage operations experience preferred
  • Ability to follow a detailed process at a high pace
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Read, Speak, Write Chinese (Mandarin) preferred.
  • Understanding of international and diverse customer segmentations
  • Call Center or Customer Service experience in a banking environment preferred
  • Requires close attention to detail, excellent verbal communication along with interpersonal and client service skills
  • Having flexibility with work schedule, being able to work swing and weekend shifts
