Job Description
Acara Solutions is helping its international life sciences Design Services and PCBA EMS client find a Test Engineer to join their firm in Milpitas, CA. This is a direct salaried position with full benefits.

  • Responsible for Design For Test (DFT), test development and test capability for new product transitioning from Customer's NPI into production, as well as providing test capability for manufacturing and sustaining support of test processes.
  • Provide functional test support for NPI and production projects
  • Develop test processes and instructions for production
  • Analyze test data and make suggestions for improvement
  • Work with customer personnel and engineering on continuous improvement activities
  • Train and instruct floor support, test technician and test operators on test hardware and/or software as well as proper problem solving techniques.
  • Knowledge of ICT, Flying Probe and 5DX is a plus.

  • Work with customer NPI teams to meet project milestones and obtain approval on deliverables
  • Participate in the DFT review, establishing a test requirements/test strategy, test coverage and delivery of test solutions
  • Develop and manage automated test scripts, test environments, test applications and performance capabilities
  • Responsible for the continual testing process/yield improvement and serve as the point of contact on all testing issues
  • Ensure adequate test coverage and product validation to meet customer requirements


Required Skills / Qualifications:
BSEE, may consider a similar engineering degree, but an electrical engineering degree is highly preferred
Min 4 years of experience in test engineering
Min 3 years of experience in a contract manufacturing environment or life sciences/medical device manufacturer

Preferred: 
PCBA manufacturing environment
