Job Description

·         The Senior Recruiter shall promote AmeriCorps NCCC and AmeriCorps VISTA to highly qualified young people to generate prospective leads. Once a week, the director shall provide an updated list of recruitment leads for AmeriCorps NCCC and AmeriCorps VISTA to review. Contractor shall compile an overview of the number of leads and the following details for each recruitment lead:

·         A minimum of 6,250 leads is required per month for AmeriCorps NCCC and a minimum of 7,500 leads is required per month for AmeriCorps VISTA. If presenting both program options simultaneously to the same group of prospective leads, the Director will devise a system for allowing prospective leads to indicate a primary program preference and a secondary program preference. AmeriCorps NCCC requires 75,000 unique leads per year who indicate a primary program preference of NCCC; AmeriCorps VISTA requires 90,000 unique leads per year who indicate a primary program preference of VISTA. Any duplicate leads among both programs will count toward incentives if annual targets are exceeded.

·         The Director shall demonstrate ability to calculate the ratio for recruitment leads that result in estimated new AmeriCorps volunteer members. In addition to the details for recruitment leads indicated above, the lead report should also include a percentage of leads that have applied, similarities in leads that have applied, and suggestions for improving application rate for each program.

·         In addition to the lead report, the Director shall provide an updated activity report to track the status of engagement with potential leads, employed recruitment strategies, and the frequency of communication on recruitment leads progress to AmeriCorps NCCC and AmeriCorps VISTA. The activity report should highlight an overview of recruitment activities for the week, which events they attended on behalf of AmeriCorps, the method of their presentations (classroom, event, web, etc.), any additional advertising or email marketing efforts for these events, distribution of materials via mail, and any other efforts conducted for lead generation. The activity report should focus on efforts to engage both prospective applicants and individuals who work with populations of 17-24 year old’s, also known as gatekeepers

 Qualifications:

·         A bachelor’s degree in HR, business, psychology, or another related field

·         At least five years of relevant experience in recruitment and community outreach efforts

·         Knowledge and experience with the strategies and tactics used to identify and engage with potential candidates including presentations, career fairs, meetings, digital advertising, and email marketing

·         Experience in targeting specific population segments and proposing and developing events and activities that provide the best opportunity to reach them

·         Knowledge and experience creating data systems and analyzing data to identify recruitment successes and areas for improvement

·         Experience in creating qualitative and quantitative reports, preparing briefing slides, and facilitating meetings
