Product Marketing Manager

We are looking to add a passionate, data and results driven Product Marketing Manager to join our team. The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating and executing strategies to drive success in sales and marketing and go to market plans for new and existing products. The Product Marketing Manager will be tasked with knowing our competitors and developing strategies to present our products in differentiated ways that will strengthen our brand and help meet aggressive growth targets. The Product Marketing Manager will also serve as the customer advocate and create strategic insights with market evidence to drive the development of positioning and messaging that resonates with buyers and empowers our teams to be successful.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, execute, and optimize the overall product marketing (merchandising, positioning, pricing, go-to-market) strategy for the business, including measuring ROI and KPIs and reporting on performance along with optimization opportunities
  • Develop annual product marketing plans, and partner with digital marketing team to execute and optimize strategies focused on maximizing the company’s exposure and supporting business objectives
  • Be the expert on our buyers, understanding who they are, how they think, and what their needs are, and drive changes to our sales and marketing processes based on key insights
  • Understand the competitive landscape within the industry, serving as an expert on our competition and ensuring our company is strategically positioned and differentiated in the market
  • Provide input into multi-channel lead nurturing strategies; collaborate across the organization to ensure consistent outreach and follow up to prospective students and university contacts
  • Grow and lead members of the product marketing team
  • Research and forecast future performance
  • Craft compelling messages (brand and product level) to be used across marketing channels
  • Collaborate with our marketing, sales, and product teams to develop innovative programs that drive demand and develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target personas
  • Understand and support our sales channels; train them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users; develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use it

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Mathematics or another related field
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in product marketing
  • 5 years of experience in developing and implementing product marketing strategies
  • Thorough understanding of all marketing channels with a proven track record of driving results
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or HubSpot a plus
  • Hands-on experience with CRM and Analytics software
  • Familiarity with Craft CMS highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and/or WordPress preferred
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
