Job Description

Academic Partnerships is hiring a Healthcare Manager, Online Nursing Programs​ to join our growing Healthcare Vertical team. We are looking for a driven employee who understands healthcare and higher education and is interested in identifying resources and trends to support university partners. He / She will be responsible for establishing, monitoring and administering strategies and procedures needed in the successful execution of online healthcare degree programs. This position will require remote work during travel restrictions and will ultimately be based in downtown Dallas.

This is an ideal role for a nurse who is data-driven and enjoys research!

Responsibilities:

Serves as a subject matter expert for healthcare and allied health programs that require a clinical component in the following areas:

Partner Support of Clinical Operations

  • Assigned to work with university partners to support clinical operations. Responsible for understanding university information such as student demographics, program and market strengths and weaknesses, and other factors that impact clinical operations
  • Coordinates, supports, and/or leads clinical discussions and team meetings with university partners and internal cross-functional team members. Acts as a liaison between university partners and internal team members for clinical discussions
  • Maintains action log and assists in resolving challenges
  • Monitors university-shared data/reports; identifies trends and offers support as needed
  • Monitors and reports on changes that can affect university degree programs in healthcare such as market changes, accreditation changes, and regulatory changes
  • Identifies and/or creates helpful resources that support healthcare programs and clinical operations and shares resources with internal AP employees and external partners
  • Responsible for active participation in launch of new programs
  • Collaborates with internal and external preceptor recruitment team to support university partners with preceptor needs

Marketing, Research and Strategy

  • Supports the Healthcare Marketing Managers in development of marketing tactics for healthcare programs
  • Collects data through research including current market conditions, industry projections, and other data pertinent to healthcare programs; provides resources as appropriate to internal and external stakeholders
  • Creates and/or maintains databases with pertinent data and manages data as an ongoing project
  • Oversees market research projects as assigned to support proposed and existing online credit and non-credit programs
  • Researches state and federal laws, rules, and regulations, including nursing/healthcare professional licensure regulations
  • Assesses opportunities and challenges brought on by changes to national and state licensure accreditation requirements and higher education regulations
  • Identifies target audiences and trends for expansion of healthcare programs
  • Creates reports and presentations based on nursing and healthcare trends, and for other projects as assigned
  • Assists in development and implementation of company and healthcare vertical strategic goals
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Skills

  • Strong project management skills
  • Proactive, responsive, and able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels (including university faculty and deans) as well as internal team members. Works as part of a cohesive team
  • Effective ability to evaluate collected data and formulate into recommendations
  • Ability to quickly navigate organizational structures, operational structures, and clinical operations of higher education academic programs
  • Ability to compile information into various report forms
  • Ability to work well in autonomous and team settings

Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree a plus)
  • Healthcare experience required (nursing background preferred; previous Clinical Coordinator experience is a plus)
  • Possesses general understanding of inner workings of academic institutions, clinical operations and/or online education. Has practical knowledge and understanding of healthcare degree programs including but not limited to graduate and undergraduate nursing and allied health programs
  • Experience in higher education preferred
  • Experience in working with Microsoft Office and other software programs, e.g: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Zoom, Wrike
  • Experience with market research tools (burning glass, and or CRM) is a plus
  • Ability to work remotely. This position requires remote/work from home capabilities for extended periods during COVID-19 travel restrictions. Applicant must have a quiet office space with a stable internet connection to conduct professional video conferencing calls
  • May require some travel
