Marketing and Events Coordinator

Job Purpose

The Marketing & Event Coordinator is responsible for a portfolio of accounts, developing and maintaining dealer relationships, and working to achieve targeted sales objectives. This individual will work with the dealerships to identify opportunities to increase sales; design a successful private sale; and, follow up on the success of the program. You will work with an internal team of Business Development, Data Technicians and Graphic Designers to assist in the preparation of Absolute Results Private Sale Events.

Duties & Responsibilities

Sales:

  • Book Events with our French speaking clients working to achieve targeted sales objectives
  • You work with the dealerships to identify opportunities to increase sales; design a successful private sale package; and, follow up on the success of the program
  • Provide clients with information and opportunities to increase dealership sales
  • Present and sell additional product and service offerings
  • Identify opportunities and/or challenges where sales process can be improved for efficiency or to create and increase leads and sales for clients

Customer Service:

  • You work with the internal team of data technicians, production team, digital team, and graphic designers to ensure that the program purchased meets the clients’ expectations
  • Develop an agreement with clients as to the scope of work for an event.
  • Follow up to ensure a successful Private Sale Event
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to maximize business results
  • Respond to and manage customer inquiries and problems in a timely manner

Other:

  • Follow AR processes and procedures for a private sale
  • Be a role model that showcases Absolute Results culture both internally and externally -
  • Other duties as required
  • Perform promotional calls directly related to special programs offered by Absolute Results to current clients
  • Answer basic invoicing questions.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • University Degree is an asset, but not required
  • Previous experience working in the automotive sales industry is a must
  • 3 years of successful sales and/or customer service experience along with any post secondary education
  • A sweet spot comprised of a balanced mix from education and experience is ideal
  • Experience preparing and delivering professional presentations or proposals

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Recognize and act on sales opportunities while communicating with clients
  • Connect and build rapport with clients by actively listening, asking the right questions and offering solutions (products and services) which cater to dealership needs
  • Ability to successfully manage a project to completion by effective organization and time management
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, persistent, and driven to succeed
  • Demonstrated professionalism with a positive attitude
  • Strong networking and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

You’ll spend most of your time engaging with a fun team that enjoys listening to music together, living an active healthy lifestyle and volunteering in the local community. Most of your time will be spent in a relaxed office environment where you can look forward to hearing terribly funny jokes. There will be occasional light lifting that is may be required to move products or displays. Working away from the office or outside of normal hours may be sporadically required to attend sales events, meetings, and related duties.
