JOB TITLE: Front Desk Receptionist
DEPARTMENT: Front Desk (Greenwood Village & Sky Ridge Locations)
JOB TYPE: Full-time (80 hours per pay period)
PAY RATE: $17.00-19.00 (opportunity for quarterly commissions)
JOB PURPOSE: The front desk receptionist performs a variety of tasks. They are the first point of contact between our office and patients. They greet all patients in a professional, accurate, and courteous manner. This position is considered a crucial link between the patient and the care delivered by our clinical staff. They must exhibit flexibility and a “can-do” attitude. They must be able to maintain professionalism and common courtesy. It is essential for them to exemplify our core values and exercise the utmost discretion, diplomacy, and tact with patient/staff interactions.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: Must have experience in a setting utilizing excellent service standards and maintaining high customer/patient satisfaction.
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Physical requirements: Able to sit, stand, and move around for long hours at a time. Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Language proficiency: excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Manages own workload effectively while being flexible to new demands.
- Excellent customer service with a patient focus.
- Must be able to pass background check.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide excellent patient service.
- Professional and welcoming demeanor when speaking with all patients.
- Maintains the cash log and cash drawer of $50; turns in all deposits to management at the end of the day.
- Check-in patients upon their arrival to keep clinic on time.
- Uses specific checklist to put together the doctor’s face sheets/paperwork for the following day.
- Schedule all follow-up appointments with the appropriate physician.
- Familiarity and knowledge of all providers’ templates and scheduling specifics.
- Cancels and reschedules appointments as necessary; conducts follow-up on no-shows.
- Informs all essential staff of cancellations & no-shows plus completing all required documentation.
- Familiarity and knowledge of products; ability to discuss and recommend them to patients.
- Monitor the physicians’ daily schedules.
- Verifies insurance information is in the EHR correctly, active, and in-network.
- Obtains referrals and assists patient with continuity of care when needed.
- Verifies patient demographic information in EHR is correct and current.
- Collects copays, balance payments, and processes patient purchases.
- Capable of managing a cash drawer and making change when needed.
- Performs day-to-day administrative functions and general office duties including but not limited to: answering phones, scheduling appointments, copying, faxing, scanning and collecting payments.
- Inform patients of any existing balance and collect payment due at the time of the visit.
- Exercises problem-solving and conflict resolution skills when dealing with patients.
- Ensures the patient feels welcome to the practice.
- Empathetic with patients’ needs and concerns.
- Assists in general office duties and other duties as required.
