My client a large Real Estate Developer/Rental & Commercial Property Management firm is currently seeking a National Training Manager for a Senior Operations position based in Vancouver. The National Training Manager will act as the liaison within my client’s firm and the Rental Property Management Industry people nationally to ensure all the rules and systems meet industry standards as well as best practices. The National Training Manager will be required to train a National Curriculum, as well as help enforce my client’s policies as written. My client also requires that the National Training Manager can step in and help where and whenever needed, and as a result they would need to be able to teach, rent, bank etc. The National Training Manager is a key position within my client’s the organization that support the Operational Division in delivering quality orientation and training programs to Resident Mangers, Assistant Resident Managers and Cleaners, while helping to assess the current and future needs of development for the Operational Team. While the position will be based in Vancouver, this role will require the successful candidate to travel and train in Calgary, Toronto and Ottawa when required. This position is in charge of training 250 employees nationally and ensuring that the education and training excellence be maintained nationally with a 15% annual turnover rate. Key Duties and Responsibilities

· Responsible for the delivery of the initial 2 weeks of training for new Team Members; New Hire Operational Orientation & Training for all new Cleaners, ARM & RM’s, including but not limited to; Policies & Procedures, Residential Tenancy Act, Sales Techniques, Cleaning and Maintenance procedures, Health & Safety, WHMIS, Tenant Relations, etc.;

· Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service to both internal and external individuals;

· Works on-site at various properties;

· Assists with reviewing/revising training and development plans as necessary to ensure that they conform to the changes in technology and employee programs;

· Monitors training evaluation systems;

· Organizes, supervises and manages development programs;

· Coaches, counsels, motivates, engages and inspires Team Members to grow within the company;

· Assists with the development of cross-training programs within the company;

· Assists management in analyzing training needs for Team Members with performance concerns;

· Facilitates and conducts training in both one-on-one and group environments;

· Conducts specialized and effective training sessions in Maintenance, Leasing, and other related topics on a regular basis;

· Assists in the creation of an Annual Training Plan;

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Previous training, supervisory or management experience is mandatory;

• Previous Resident Manager, Housekeeping and/or Maintenance Experience is required;

• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, managers and Residents;

• Strong administrative skills, organized and meticulous;

• Excellent time management skills;

• Possess a positive attitude, mature and be a self-starter;

• Proficient in MS Office Applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, & Yardi Voyager);

• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism to set standards for others;

• Ability to evaluate objectively the performance of Team Members;

• Must be comfortable presenting in large groups;

• Must be able to travel, have a flexible work schedule and work evenings/odd weekends

• Must have a vehicle;

And be physically able to carry out all necessary duties. All candidates must be physically able, at minimum, to paint and clean, including bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50lbs;
