This individual will work within the Data Analytics team to produce and drive cross-functional trend report analysis for multiple Operations Quality teams. This will require extensive use of Business Objects (for data mining), Excel (including macros and pivot charts), Word, PowerPoint, and appropriate statistical software (such as Minitab). The reports will be required on a regular, monthly basis. This analyst will be expected to attend the Ops Quality 'data review meetings' to offer additional, ad-hoc data analysis or assessment. This individual should have prior experience with medical devices, or in the healthcare industry, as well as a willingness to learn about Abbott products.
+ Participates in the quality assurance process following procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet company standards and end-user requirements.
+ Recognizes and identifies areas where quality assurance policies and procedures need to be changed or developed.
+ Conducts monthly trend review meetings and participates in audits.
+ Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
+ Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
+ Conduct ad hoc queries and analysis as required to support Engineering, Marketing, Clinical, etc. data analysis requirements
+ Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
+ 3-5+ years of experience with trend report generation and trend analysis experience
+ Experience working with Excel, SPC charts
+ Willingness to learn database tools such as Business Objects/SAP/Etc.
+ Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.
+ Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
+ Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
+ Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
+ Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
