AZPetVet is in need of a reliable hospital supervisor for the North Buckeye location!
Classification – Hourly, Non-Exempt
Job Overview – This position involves learning and applying leadership and management training skills regarding employee relations, client relations and daily hospital operations. Good communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills are needed for this role. Directly involved in training staff on procedures, showing empathy and professionalism towards clients and patients. Supervisors will take on duties of the Hospital Manager when the Manager is not at the hospital. Administrative duties like ordering supplies, staff evaluations, and various hospital audits may apply to this role.
Duties & Responsibilities – Responsible for training staff on all aspects of Kennel, CRS, or Technician roles. Ensure team is using proper protocols and procedures when handling pets, and working with clients. Ability to learn and understand hospital flow, client appointment scheduling and employee/doctor scheduling in order to maximize hospital opportunities. Ability to maintain the hospital’s client service standards. Organizing and/or participating in all team meetings is required. Oversight over completion of daily, weekly, or monthly hospital task lists. A general understanding of hospital financial goals. This role may be involved in employee scheduling, hospital billing and financial processes, as well as addressing client concerns.

Work Environment – There will be consistent noises like barking in the hospital. May be exposed to odors, the potential to be bit or scratched. There will be numerous interruptions and multiples conversations with staff or clients going on at any given moment. An ability to focus is important.
Physical Demands – Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds. Standing for long periods of time, walking, sitting, squatting, pushing, pulling, using hands and fingers for technical and administrative work. May have extended periods of time viewing computer screens and reading.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work – This role may work any of the hours their practice is open. There may be occasions where attending community events on evenings or weekends may be needed.
Travel – Most of the role will be at one hospital. There will be times where driving to another hospital or the business office in Glendale will be required.
