  • Applications Development Engineer - Thin Film

This position is responsible for directing, integrating, controlling and managing the development and introduction of new Thin Film products into the North American market. It involves working closely with customers and manufacturing engineering. Additionally, this position provides direct customer technical support to achieve initial product design-ins, acceptance and sales profitability objectives. Position is located in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Technical training and direction comes from both our Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Jerusalem, Israel manufacturing facilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate customers’ new designs or needs with our KAVX R&D RF departments.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and RFS group to develop new Thin Film products.
  • Discuss preliminary specifications and technical issues directly with customers.
  • Identify new customers and new markets.
  • Understand the manufacturing capabilities of our Myrtle Beach and Jerusalem Thin Film process.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Science degree required in Electronic Engineering, Physics, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of three (3) years related experience; RF specialization and Marketing skills are preferred.
  • Experience working with customers, sales reps and manufacturing engineering.
  • Ability to learn and understand the manufacturing capabilities of our Myrtle Beach and Jerusalem Thin Film Process.
  • Good communication skills – both oral and written.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., IEEE),
  • Ability to travel 40% - 50% of the time. Ability to train in Israel for a minimum of three (3) months.
  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 CFR 120.15 is required, or if a non-US Person, the ability to obtain an export license approved by the U.S. Department of State.
