We are seeking a motivated and passionate Marketing and Communications Specialist to join our team in Washington, DC on an exciting opportunity in support of the Department of Homeland Security. This candidate should possess an in-depth understanding of developing a strategic communication plan and mechanisms for a variety of communication and marketing options for an acquisition workforce that spans multiple acquisition disciplines. The Marketing and Communications Specialist will be part of a team that helps institute organizational design, strategy, and workforce development. Preference will be given to candidates with prior Human Capital experience supporting Federal government customers.
Responsibilities and Duties
+ Develop a comprehensive, strategic marketing and communications plan, and related implementation strategies.
+ Develop outreach approaches targeted to a variety of audiences and delivered across multiple platforms, including web, mobile, social media and intranet sites.
+ Develop quarterly newsletters for the acquisition workforce for publication via a variety of formats or media.
+ Maintain internet and intranet content, structure, and usability.
+ Prepare executive level briefings and other communication materials.
+ Ensure messaging for external stakeholders are consistent and accurate.
+ Bachelor's degree, or higher.
+ At least 5 years of relevant experience.
+ Preference given to those with Adobe InDesign and website design experience.
+ Experience developing and executing a communication plan for a federal client.
