Position Summary: Commercial Project Manager

AVDG is looking for an exceptional AV Commercial Project Manager whose main responsibility will be to inspire, plan, direct, and coordinate activities of integrated audio-visual smart technology solutions and systems to ensure that the goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within a prescribed time frame, funding parameters are met and manages. communication between the design team, installation labor, as well as other construction trades.

The ideal candidate has AV integration smart technology commercial project experience with superb communication, customer experience, and represents the core values of AVDG culture, Customer First, Integrity, Respect, and Passion for learning and working with the best technologies and solutions that give people joy, comfort, and security.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Responsible for managing Audio Visual commercial integration and installation projects
  • Reviews project proposal or plan to determine the period, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.
  • Reviews pre-installation site surveys and helps strategize equipment placement and cable-pull considerations.
  • Manages day-to-day operations of all assigned projects.
  • Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of the project, communicates with management, engineering, about requirements for staffing and installation equipment.
  • Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. Effectively interact with various private sub-contractors and unionized construction trades.
  • Tracks, manages, and communicates project schedule to ensure project progresses on schedule and within the prescribed budget, installation labor, and resources.

To join our band you'll need the following experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) or Associate Degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school, or at least two years of experience in an equivalent combination of education and experience desirable. Having a PMP Certification is a big plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the engineering and installation of electronic security systems, or related field is desired. Has strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals, relay logic, PLC's and operations.
  • Must have a solid understanding of job financial reports, and the ability to control costs in the handling of large projects.
  • Minimum 2+ years experience project management experience highly preferred, or similar position supervising installers, including training of new and temporary labor, assigning, and directing work, managing performance and addressing complaints, working with subcontractors, and resolving problems.
  • Strong computer skills Office 365 MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Solutions 360, learning new systems, generating reports, and familiarity with AV industry control systems used in commercial projects like Crestron, Extron, QSYS, Biamp highly preferred.
  • Must have experience planning and assigning daily installation schedules and duties for assigned projects.
  • Low voltage experience, troubleshooting, and instructing proper physical placement and wiring of devices.
  • Experience building effective teams and creating strong morale in the field.
