We have an immediate full-time opportunity for an analytical and data driven Credit Analyst who will help our company in credit underwriting and deep borrower analysis by maintaining world class standards in reviewing credit files of our customers. As a Credit Analyst, you will become a subject matter expert with significant experience to lead and support our credit services teams.

Our second platform (EqualSeat™) is to provide access to retail investors to co-invest with institutional investors in SME loans.


Duties and Responsibilities

 Credit Analysis & Loan Worthiness (80%)

  • Conduct credit analysis activities and support business services based on AVANA’s loan origination, underwriting, processing, and support platforms
  • Gather information about prospective clients and assist the Loan Underwriters in in the preparation of analytical credit due diligence reports; assessing, analyzing, and interpreting financial information received from commercial loan applicants
  • Pre-Underwrite, process, and close conventional, CRE, SBA 504, SBA 7(a) and USDA loans
  • Review appraisals, environmental reports and other reports to assess the viability of collateral
  • Review leases, legal documents, organizational documents and UCC search information
  • Evaluate the level of risk for individual transactions and provide credit recommendations


Credit Quality Department Administration (20%)

  • Maintain a working knowledge of AVANA’s policies and procedures as well as federal regulations related to commercial lending
  • Support the Chief Credit Officer and Loan Underwriters to build a world class credit division
  • Prepare spreadsheets, reports, summaries, and opinions on new, renewal and existing loans
  • Conduct of regular credit monitoring of clients; and finalizing action plans for follow-up
  • Year-end reporting and maintaining credit files as per NCUA and SBA guidelines
  • Monitoring and administering construction loans, including monitoring the budget, review of third-party reports and funding draws timely
  • Open to travel with short notice to physically inspect collateral properties


Required Education and Qualification

  • Minimum 3 years commercial real estate experience
  • Education or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate Management
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-national environment
  • Ability to multi-task, solve problems and think quickly
  • Strong attention to details, highly organized and ability to notice data discrepancies
