As a Configuration Management (CM) Engineer, you are responsible for the daily administration of all CM tools, related processes, enforcement, and auditing for standard usage. The scope of these responsibilities includes documenting, communicating, implementing, and auditing processes for source version control, builds, and deployments on distributed platforms. As a member of the Configuration Management Team, you are responsible for continuous support of ATPCO’s distributed business applications and development teams. You Will: * Provide daily support and services on demand for development teams, and as planned on the Enterprise Deployments Calendar (EDC) and Forward Schedule of Releases (FSR). This includes on call duties for offshore teams, and weekday/weekend deployments to our production environment * Assist with research and testing of new CM technology and integration with other tools in the enterprise * Routinely provide the lead CM engineer or manager with detailed statuses and issue tracking * Routinely engage with Release Management for completeness and accuracy of production release notes, documentation, and coordination of ongoing and upcoming implementations * Respond to JIRA requests and issues for source version control, builds, and deployments * Diagnose issues with CPU, memory, and storage thresholds for CM applications installed on Linux virtual machines * Create, merge, and maintain source code repositories (Mercurial Hg & Git) for Java distributed platforms * Provide auditing for differences in common applications (Distributed Baseline Reports) * Interpret logs to resolve source code conflicts, build failures, and deployment related errors * Configure application builds interpreting build criteria passed from development (ANT, MAVEN/POM) * Integrate builds to execute code quality checks, test automation, and maintain build artifacts * Configure and prepare release builds, deployment packages, and repositories for staging, training, and production releases * Configure packages, processes, and environment topology for distributed application deployments to target servers * Execute distributed deployments to all target environments, including production deployments on Saturday evenings when necessary The Ideal Candidate: * Prior work experience in Software Configuration Management on Linux/Unix distributed platforms * Experience with source version control, enterprise source code management, artifact management, and software project management * Solid familiarity in conducting and supporting builds and deployments on an enterprise level * Ability to develop scripts where necessary to accommodate integration and automation * Linux Command Line administration skills with various CM Tools * Understanding of programming principles, including J2EE applications * Demonstrated experience in tracking project status, metrics, and analyzing details to determine trends and measures * Current Linux certification is a plus ATPCO is the foundation of flight shopping, providing pricing and retailing data, tools, and services to 500+ airlines, global distribution systems, sales channels, and technology companies.
