JOB SUMMARY
Reliability Mechanical Engineer:
Arctic Testing & Inspection is looking to staff a reliability engineer at one the local facilities in the La Porte area. Reliability Mechanical Engineer serves to assist in ensuring safe and reliable operation where fixed equipment and piping is involved. Additionally, the role provides support to inspection, turnarounds, and capital projects to ensure proper specification and lifecycle management of fixed equipment and piping.

Reliability Mechanical Engineer:
Arctic Testing & Inspection is looking to staff a reliability engineer at one the local facilities in the La Porte area. Reliability Mechanical Engineer serves to assist in ensuring safe and reliable operation where fixed equipment and piping is involved. Additionally, the role provides support to inspection, turnarounds, and capital projects to ensure proper specification and lifecycle management of fixed equipment and piping.
Responsibilities AND Accountabilities
- Primary source of higher-level technical guidance for RBI implementation and fixed equipment related projects.
- Provide fitness for service calculations for fixed equipment and piping as needed.
- Support the development and/or revision of inspection and maintenance repair procedures/practices related to fixed equipment and piping.
- Assist with technical support for routine fixed equipment and piping maintenance work as needed.
- Assist with root cause failure analysis for fixed equipment and piping failures as needed.
- Assist Inspection with Turnaround (TAR) support for fixed equipment and piping as needed.
- Provide technical support for emergency/after-hours work that requires troubleshooting and scope definition as needed.
- Provide mechanical input on packages for fixed equipment and piping repairs as necessary.
- Provide mechanical design review on the Front-End Loading stages of Fixed Equipment capital expenditure projects to ensure that final product meets the site's standards when requested.
- Assist Inspection personnel with identifying turnaround scope and review TAR job plans for fixed equipment and piping.
- Peer review and provide input on critical fixed equipment inspection plans and procedures.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in a mechanical engineering position.
- Minimum of 4 years in a fixed equipment engineering role.
- Manufacturing Plant experience is preferred.
