Job Description
Summary
The Senior Accountant will help with month-end closing, financial reporting, auditing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. This individual must possess solid communication, technology, organizational and analytical skills. Advanced Excel skills (V-Lookup/Pivot table) are required and will be tested.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the accounting manager with the month-end close process, reconciliation of account balances, and journal entry preparation
- Prepare sales reports for commercial team
- Compile audit, budget, and forecast information
- Participate in special projects at the direction of management, such as adoption of new accounting standards, process improvements, and other technical accounting topics
- Other related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in accounting/finance
- Experience in manufacturing with basic knowledge for cost accounting
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP
