Job Description

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for supporting the budgeting process, handling select general ledger entries, supporting month-end closings, and generation of financial package.

Key Responsibilities

Monthly General Ledger Accounts Analysis and Reconciliations.

  • Must be proficient in adjusting journal entries.
  • Review and update the detailed schedule of Fixed Assets and depreciation.
  • Payroll, Fixed Assets acquisition and dispositions records
  • Understand and perform monthly intercompany reconciliations.
  • Payment and record the Federal and State Tax payments.
  • Track the compilation of Capital Projects into Fixed Asset accounts once the related projects have been completed.
  • Monthly Income Statement and Balance Sheet review with variance analysis by individual account.
  • Provide support as needed to internal and external auditors and CPA’s.
  • Attention to detail is important.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Complete other projects as needed.
  • Organize and prioritize work activities while utilizing efficient time management.
  • Meeting deadlines and staying on schedules.
  • Maintain all the Business licenses required.
  • Complete understanding of the Accounting Policy Manual and ensure that policies are followed.
  • Collaboration with multiple departments and facilities.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required, CPA a plus.


5+ years of General Ledger Accounting experience required. Experience working for a manufacturer or distributor preferred. Strong understanding of GAAP. Experience utilizing financial reporting systems, spreadsheets, and MS Office required. Standard costing a plus. Experience with Microsoft AX ERP a plus.

Skills & Abilities

Proficient in staff accounting functions including treasury, journal entries, budgeting, and financial statements. Must be a team player, able to work with little to no supervision and willing to assume new responsibilities. Sensitivity to implications of confidential information and attention to detail are critical. Highly analytical and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and advanced if statements. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
