ARTECHOUSE is seeking an Assistant Location Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and self-driven individual with great ability in leading teams, building processes and an unparalleled team culture. Management experience in a fast-paced customer service driven environment is required.
WHO YOU ARE
You have a fun and outgoing disposition, can-do attitude and hands-on approach to leadership. Extensive operational experience managing a large team in a similar leisure, retail, or hospitality environment. Customer service is your passion. You are skilled in recruiting, coaching, supporting and developing a high performing customer facing team. As no two days are the same, you’ll thrive on variety and be able to think on your feet to solve problems. You’ll have exceptional business acumen and are comfortable with systems and technology.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reporting to the Location Manager to oversee the daily operations of the location, managing the Visitor Experience team to ensure consistent high standards of customer service, and efficient overall floor operations.
- Serves as a role model to the front-line staff leading by example, coaching and motivating your team each day. Overseeing Team Leaders and Visitor Experience hosts.
- Works closely with Marketing on community based programming, being a champion for this on site.
- Communicates effectively with Location Manager, Team Leaders, Bar Lead, and Bartenders on a daily basis to ensure the visitor experience is optimized. Updating the ticketing system to reconcile availability with special events calendar.
- Manages staff and floor operations, ensuring visitor satisfaction through effective front of house operation, customer flow, visitor engagement within exhibition and commercial operations all done with safety paramount.
- Assists with onboarding, team development, implementation of customer service standards and training, counseling, appraisals and recognition.
- Completes semi-monthly payroll for submission and approval.
- Responds immediately to all visitor complaints, issues and needs using best judgment to resolve any issues preserving high satisfaction levels.
- Proactively and quickly adjusts staffing levels as required by business conditions as and when necessary.
- Actively engages senior leadership with ideas and solutions to any logistical and operational issues, ultimately creating opportunities to improve revenue and visitor experience.
- Effectively works across all internal departments (HR, Finance, Studio and Marektng) to ensure smooth operations and offer solutions to resolve issues related to day-to-day operations.
- Assists and acts as key custodian of company policies and education, ensuring all team members are aware, trained and actively manage safety as their number one priority.
