Job Description
ARES Corporation is hiring a Senior Cybersecurity Program Manager to support a critical defense cybersecurity infrastructure validation and verification program. This leadership position involves the management and oversight of key cybersecurity compliance functions including risk management, cybersecurity program assessments, independent security controls validation, vulnerability assessment methodology verification, software assurance, and training. the Program Manager will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Cyberspace Management Office and Office of the Chief Information Officer.


  • Capable of providing leadership, direction, and management of a complex DoD contract with over 45 support personnel.
  • Proficient in technical services and analysis with knowledge of cybersecurity standards, principles, practices, and processes.
  • Experience supporting key cybersecurity activities including vulnerability assessments, control development, security plan documentation, penetration testing, and the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Experience conducting independent analyses and validation of processes and procedures.
  • Capable of thinking strategically to address issues and implement plans for major operational defense programs.
  • Experience supporting the Missile Defense Agency or similar DoD organization.
  • MS in an Information Technology (IT) related field with 15 years total IT experience including 10 years leadership experience and 5 years in program management; or a BA/BS in an IT-related field with18 years total experience including 10 years leadership experience and 5 years in program management.
  • Top Secret clearance required.
  • Residency in either Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL.
