We are seeking a Project Manager who will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of Building Permits, Master Use Permits (MUPS), Housing Elements/Design, and Building/Zoning Code updates. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of land use/community planning, be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships. You will take full management and entitlement of a project from beginning to end. Compensation:$80,000 - $90,000
Responsibilities:- Project management - managing the entire project not just aspects of many
- Assist with the preparation of Building Permits, Community Plans, Housing Elements/Design, Master Use Permits, SEPA, and/or other comprehensive planning documents
- Assist with the preparation of zoning codes, permitting policies, and/or development standards, with a particular emphasis on housing
- Conduct research and develop recommendations on land use, public utilities, community facilities, housing, and transportation to control and guide community development and renewal
- Prepare, coordinate, and facilitate public involvement and consensus-building meetings and workshops
- Review plan sets for consistency with local codes and regulations
- Permit expediting within Seattle in particular
- Prepare drafts of technical memoranda, meeting minutes, transmittals, presentations, and other written materials
- Promote a culture of teamwork, engagement, quality service, and customer satisfaction to our public and private clients
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
This Job Might Be For You If You Have The Following:
- BA/BS degree or higher in urban planning, civil engineering, or a related discipline
- Possess 2+ years of related demonstrated experience in land use planning, land development/entitlements, urban design, and/or environmental planning
- Knowledge of the philosophies, principles, practices & techniques of planning
- Excellent communication, organizational, writing, and presentation skills
- Ability to form and maintain effective client, interagency, and internal team relationships
- Must know Land Use Codes
- Have prior experience with AutoCAD
- Specific knowledge of the permitting process within Seattle is preferable
Compensation:
- $80,000 -$90,000 (dependent upon experience)
