Job Description:ARDEX Americas (www.ArdexAmericas.com), is the Global industry leader in the manufacturing and development of high-performance specialty building materials.We are immediately hiring for a SALES PROFESSIONAL, with experience of TILE AND STONE INSTALLATION SYSTEMS, to develop new and existing business as part of our MIDWEST Team.The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, experienced business developer with a proven track record of developing and delivering new sales business opportunities with tile installers, tile contractors, architects and distributor partners. You will have exceptional customer follow up and focus, lead generation skills, and the ability to close the sale, together with a true passion and interest in the industry. You will enjoy exploring and delivering innovative solutions through expert product advice, hands on product demonstrations, and product guidance.Reporting to the Territory Sales Manager, this is a field sales position to cover Kansas, Missouri, and Southern/Central Illinois.
Up to 50% travel including some overnight. Preferred home office base location of ST LOUIS or KANSAS.Responsibilities:Drive, develop, promote and grow sales of ARDEX products and systems throughout territoryDevelop and maintain solid working relationships with distributors, contractors, specifiers and other key business influencersRetain current accounts and prospect new business developmentSuccessfully launch and promote new products via hands on product demonstrations, presentations & professional product displaysCollaborate with Corporate resources such Technical, Customer Service, Marketing, Logistics etc., to deliver exceptional standards of service to ARDEX customersDrive lead generation through jobsite visits, lead generation services, cold calls etc.Develop and successfully execute field sales action plansAchieve and exceed targets, goals and objectives, as established with Sales ManagerRepresent ARDEX as an industry leader through exceptional professional standards, and a 'customer first' approach.Required Experience:Minimum 5 years outside sales experience is essentialDemonstrable experience of Tile and Stone Installation Systems is essential (thin sets, sub floor preparation, cement & epoxy grouts, under tile waterproofing, commercial & residential). Tile and stone installation experience is desirableMust be able to confidently and professionally conduct product presentations and demonstrationsMust be able to operate non power and power tools.
Demonstrates good mechanical or hands-on skills to meet the needs of intensive and physically demanding field support and serviceTechnically proficient: familiar with architectural specifications and construction design elementsHigh level of energy and enthusiasm for the business and be customer-driven and professionalSelf-starter.
