Are you passionate about animals and their well-being? Join our dedicated team of professionals as a Veterinary Assistant or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) and play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our furry and feathered friends.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in Patient Care: Comfort and restrain animals during examinations and treatments.
- Medical Procedures: Assist in surgeries, X-rays, dental cleanings, and laboratory tests.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
- Client Interaction: Provide excellent customer service, answering client questions and offering education on pet care.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records and ensure documentation is up to date.
- Equipment Maintenance: Sterilize and maintain medical equipment and instruments.
- Support RVTs and Veterinarians: Assist RVTs and veterinarians in various medical procedures.
- Animal Comfort: Maintain a clean and comfortable environment for patients.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to assist during emergency situations with composure and efficiency.
- Continuing Education: Stay updated on industry trends and seek opportunities for professional development.
Qualifications:
- Veterinary Assistant: High school diploma or equivalent; experience in an animal care setting preferred.
- RVT: Certification as a Registered Veterinary Technician is required.
- Passion: Genuine love for animals and dedication to their well-being.
- Team Player: Collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively with colleagues.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both with team members and clients.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
